State Initiative Action Plan
North Carolina Chapter

The national NASW office has developed a nationwide reinvestment plan for the social work profession, which includes the development of plans for all state Chapters.  The North Carolina Chapter Reinvestment plan was developed by Chapter staff, Board of Directors and social work association partners based on the unique issues and circumstances faced by social workers in North Carolina.  The intent of the plan is to unify the social work profession by bringing all social workers together for a social work Congress and a social work Regulation Task Force.  Both the Congress and the Regulation Task Force will set forth social work priorities which may be legislative, administrative or educational in nature.

In addition to the concepts that will be forthcoming from the Congress and the Task Force, the North Carolina Chapter Reinvestment Plan spells out individual practice area initiatives which will strengthen and promote the social work profession within North Carolina.
