Missouri SWRI Action Plan
In 2006, with the establishment of the Social Work Reinvestment Initiative (SWRI) by the national NASW, the Missouri Chapter has been diligently working to enhance the social work profession and social justice issues in our state. NASW-Missouri Chapter’s plan was developed in 2007 by a collaborative effort of the chapter board of directors, members, staff, social work educational programs and other social work agencies and organizations. The intent of the Chapter’s plan is to develop a collaborative effort between the association and various other social work agencies, educational programs, and organizations to strengthen, unify and advance the social work profession in Missouri. The Initiative sets forth goals of social work priorities within the legislative, administrative and/or educational settings for reinvesting in our state’s professionals.
